The heart behind Kaye's Way
The story, values, and philosophy that shape Kaye's Way Recovery.
Joy Through Every Season
Kaye's Way Recovery was named in honor of my grandmother, Kaye, whose life continues to shape both who I am and how I approach counseling. Throughout her life, Kaye experienced profound loss and hardship, yet she remained grounded in her faith and found joy in everyday moments.
No matter the season, she showed up for the people she loved with compassion, encouragement, and unwavering support. Her example taught me that healing does not mean avoiding life's difficulties—it means finding hope, connection, and purpose within them.
Threads of Healing
Kaye had a deep love for quilting, transforming individual pieces of fabric into something beautiful and whole. The Tree of Life quilt she created and gave to me as a high school graduation gift remains a treasured reminder of her legacy.
In many ways, healing and recovery are much like quilting. Life experiences—both joyful and painful—shape who we are. Recovery is not about erasing difficult chapters of our stories, but about weaving together resilience, hope, and meaning as we move forward.
Behind the Logo
The Kaye's Way Recovery logo reflects both Kaye's legacy and my approach to healing. The vine element was inspired by her Tree of Life quilt, representing growth, healing, and renewal. The geometric design was drawn from another quilt she created and symbolizes strength, courage, and resilience. Together, these elements reflect the importance of caring for both the emotional and logical parts of ourselves. Purple, Kaye's favorite color, was woven throughout the design in honor of her memory.
Meeting You Where You Are
At Kaye's Way Recovery, I believe counseling should support both the emotional and practical aspects of healing. Some seasons call for processing grief, pain, and difficult experiences, while others focus on building coping skills, strengthening relationships, and developing tools for lasting change.
My approach is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and the belief that growth happens when we honor both our experiences and our capacity to move forward with courage and hope.
What to Expect
Therapy is not about having all the answers before you begin. It's about having a space where you can show up honestly, be met with compassion, and take the next step forward at your own pace.
A Safe, Nonjudgmental Space
You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting counseling. My goal is to create an environment where you feel heard, respected, and accepted exactly as you are.
Therapy That Meets You Where You Are
Whether you’re navigating addiction recovery, grief, anxiety, depression, or a major life transition, our work together will be tailored to your unique experiences, goals, and strengths.
Hope Through Small Steps
Healing rarely happens all at once. Counseling focuses on building resilience, meaningful connection, and practical tools that support lasting change and renewed hope.
